2026Masterclass
This masterclass will provide an opportunity to share the practices and issues that underpin my work as a choreographer and dancer today. In particular, we will explore the concept of ‘transgression’. Derived from the Latin transgredi, to transgress means to cross over to the other side, to pass through, or to go beyond a boundary. We will draw on physical and mental practices such as active meditation or Kundalini yoga, which place the body in a state of physical intensity as well as in a relationship with duration and repetition. The aim will be to experience the vibration of one or more bodies and its circulation. This may involve improvised explorations or learning existing dances. Breath, voice and singing will also form an integral part of the work. Above all, the aim will be to find pleasure in a shared practice of body and voice.
